Another Living Wall goes up!
Groove to the moves in the new Plantscapers Inc. video where our team builds a living wall in the new Houzz downtown San Diego location. Our team installed a 8′ x 7′ Living Wall made of several varieties of pothos, philodendrons and Emerald Beauty’s. Along with the wall, we installed contemporary specimen plants in beautiful matte white containers and topped with rocks.
The new office occupies the wet side of the sixth floor of DiamondView Tower that overlooks Petco Park in East Village. This unique environment is the perfect setting for our living wall and we are proud to be part of the fast-growing companies expansion out of Orange County.
Living walls are the hot and new trend of today’s design world. With the help of architects and interior designers who incorporate interior landscapes into their designs, these beautiful living art pieces have been finding their way into corporate and residential spaces at a phenomenal rate. Blending beautifully with the aesthetics that inspire mid-modern and contemporary architects, the living walls bring a bit of drama and color to a room. The fact plants not only convey life to a room, but that health is enhanced by the presence of plants further pushes these walls into popularity with today’s health conscious society.
Plants emit water vapor that creates a pumping action to pull contaminated air down around a plant’s roots to become food for the plant. They also provide much needed fresh air by lowering the levels of carbon dioxide that contributes to stale air while raising the oxygen levels for better mental concentration and all around health. Also plants contribute to interior space humidity levels by creating a balance in moisture thus alleviating colds and virus infections that incur with constant exposure to dry air due to air conditioning and our own coastal desert’s arid climate.
