President’s Message:
Over the past few weeks, many of us were unexpectedly moved by a moment far removed from our daily work: a space mission that captured global attention and reminded us what is possible when people come together with shared purpose and extraordinary skill.
Four astronauts traveled farther from Earth than any humans in history. They did so not only with technical excellence, but with humanity, humility, and deep connection to one another. And for many watching, it created a rare and powerful pause, a moment to exhale and reflect.
What made this mission resonate wasn’t just the achievement. It was the people behind it.
There was a commander carrying forward the memory of his late wife, honoring her encouragement to continue pursuing his calling. A crewmate who suggested naming a lunar landmark after her, a gesture of compassion and respect that reminded us how deeply personal even the most technical endeavors can be. There was a trailblazing woman reaching new frontiers, and a crewmember who spoke about progress not as an individual milestone, but as something that belongs to all of humanity. Traits we can all learn and grow from.
These stories matter. They remind us that behind every successful outcome are people, each bringing their own experiences, challenges, and motivations into the work.
