Plantscapers has been recognized for their beautiful biophilic design in their interior plantscaping installation at Orgain in Irvine, CA. Susi Tomich, one of the talented Plantscapers design consultants, collaborated with Hendy Associates to create a workplace that embodies the Orgain brand. Together, they used fun colors and natural materials to design a vibrant and welcoming office environment, which prominently features plants.
The Plantscapers team also attended the TPIE (Tropical Plant International Expo) in Tampa, Florida. There, they participated in educational sessions and explored a vast tradeshow, discovering new products and gaining insights into the ever-evolving industry. At the event’s Gala, sponsored by IPlants Magazine, Plantscapers received the prestigious “Best Design Award.”
“These awards celebrate the strides of interior plantscapers in connecting people with plants in remarkable ways,” stated Elliott Bennett, editor of IPlants Magazine. “Entries are judged on their own merit rather than against each other. These awards acknowledge professionals involved in interior plantscaping worldwide, recognizing outstanding achievements in design, installation, creativity, renovation, and innovation.”
The interior architecture of Orgain’s office draws inspiration from the swooping “O” in the Orgain logo, a symbol of health and wellness. This concept is perfectly complemented by the living wall at the office entrance, which creates a striking first impression for guests and employees alike. The organic elements and pops of color bring Orgain’s brand palette to life, creating a biophilic workplace that incorporates sustainable features such as textured wood elements, natural light, and access to the outdoors—all central to interior landscaping.
As you walk through this stunning office, you’ll find living plants in every corner. Plants are integrated into workstations to naturally create privacy in the bullpen area. They hang above the break room and adorn all the booth tables. Conference rooms, private offices, and the lobby feature beautifully arranged plants and vessels that seamlessly bring the outdoors inside.
Susi collaborated closely with the designer and the owner to create this unique and inviting space, which was pivotal for the client. The conference room, for example, includes a large screen TV surrounded by light-green chartreuse moss on wooden slats, offering a unique and comforting atmosphere. The custom moss wall adds a calming yet professional touch, making it a one-of-a-kind design. The success of this project can be attributed to Tomich’s strong relationship with the design team at Hendy. By stepping out of her comfort zone, she brought this vision to life, resulting in one of Plantscapers’ most creative designs to date.

With over 25 years of experience and numerous awards, Susi remains dedicated to collaborating with the A&D (architecture and design) community. Her innovative approach and ability to complement the work of designers and architects have made Plantscapers one of Southern California’s most elite interiorscaping companies.
We extend our gratitude to everyone involved, especially our partners at Hendy Associates, for incorporating plants into the planning stages and for their dedication and talent in transforming this space.
